Why do I LOVE flowers? One of my fondest memories is of my grandma Charlotte's peonies. I can remember being 5 years old walking down the path along side of her house and the aroma stopped me in my tracks while our family was home on leave. Leave? My childhood was spent overseas. Yes - I'm a military brat, my Dad proudly served in our US Marine Corps for 20 years. Also, where I met my life long friend, Shavonne - Owner and Founder of Wellness Mom Solutions. With the majority of our time as a family spent on Okinawa, Japan, there, we were surrounded by lush botanical gardens, stunning beaches, an abundance of tropical plants, flowers and foliage. That my friends, is what did me in. Throughout my life I have always loved flowers and grown flowers to create beautiful arrangements.
I have a special place in my heart for veterans and those who have served our country. To all our Veterans, including you Daddy- Thank You.

We at Pure Sunshine LLC. want every person to have an engaging, positive, lasting experience through fresh flowers.
By bettering the health and wellbeing of our environment with fresh flowers we can show our treasured loved ones we care about them, in turn, we can better serve our community. But, how?
Let's elaborate...
Since the beginning of time flowers have been an interaural part of the human experience. The benefits of flowers and plants have been proven over and over through behavioral research studies conducted at Harvard, Rutgers, and Texas A&M. Through these studies, what we have learned is that flowers can make people happier, promote feelings of compassion, and improve energy. This study went on to state that flowers also have the ability to induce immediate feelings of happiness and delight, promoting long-term mood-boosting effects, all while reducing the feelings of depression, anxiety, and agitation. Fresh flowers also decrease stress, improve memory and concentration, promote productivity, improve relationships and promote health.​
Since going back to work after covid many of us struggle to get a few moments of sunshine each day, especially in Michigan, where we only see between 160 and 180 days of sunshine on average, with less than 80% cloud coverage. That equates to approximately a little more than half the days of the year being dark and overcast. Of those overcast days, approximately 9 hours are spent indoors, in our work environment.
